Raw was a labour of love for KCBG Photography. The images are mercilessly edited to draw out the fine details of the subjects.
The series speaks to the aging process of animals and the human need for preservation of various species. We do it for the purposes of our education and for our enjoyment. While Karen tried to capture the emotion often associated with the subjects, she discovered a need to capture their beauty; even if it was painfully raw. You will see this within the images Bull and Goat.
