REDWOODS

Nature is simple and complicated. I can capture it's simplicity and it's great beauty. My absolute favourite image to date has come from the smallest seedling, sprouting with new life, budding out of the tallest Redwoods of California. I'm not the first to focus a lens here, but I think I got a great shot. It's Redwood Knot.

I think is displays hope, but it also emotes sadness. As climate change plays a pivotal role in maintaining the health of this ecosystem, the balancing act these gentle giants must perform is a real struggle. KCBG Photography's Redwood Knot was published in Artemis Journal, 2014.
